Why Change Now?

Delaware's last call time of 1 AM is one of the earliest in the nation with only a few states being as restrictive. Regionally Delaware is behind neighboring states who all have last call times of 2 AM with additional special purpose exceptions. Moving Delaware’s last call time to at least 2 AM will make the state more competitive for leisure spending and more appealing as a home for younger generations. A thriving nightlife is essential for Millennial attraction and retention which would strengthen the tax base as well as help our small businesses recover from the pandemic.
